Leading the Way with PB&J at Penn

October 2, 2015 by JHP

This past Thursday was JHP’s semi-annual PB&J-A-Thon at Penn, where we reached our goal of making 1,000 sandwiches for a local homeless shelter. The weather was absolutely beautiful, which certainly helped encourage students who were walking through Locust Walk to stop and do a mitzvah. Kenn Kweder – a UPenn celebrity – provided musical accompaniment and helped us draw a great crowd to help us feed the hungry.
“It was awesome making sandwiches for those in need it was very special seeing students get involved regardless of their affiliation. I loved spreading awareness about JHP and doing a mitzvah, while also having fun (and listening to Kweder!). We made over 1000 sandwiches and definitely should be proud of what we accomplished!”
