JHP@Penn Student Leader Spotlight: Kacy Fishman

October 13, 2015 by JHP

Kacy Fishman is a sophomore and is currently leading the efforts for Penn’s Shabbat for 2000 taking place on October 16th! Here is what Kacy has to say about her experience with Penn and JHP:

“When I came to Penn last fall all the clubs, organizations, and new opportunities were not only exciting, but also a little chaotic and overwhelming. Throughout the fall I kept hearing friends talk about JHP, yet I wasn’t exactly sure what it was.

So, in the beginning of second semester I decided to go to a meeting. Immediately, I had a feeling that this organization was going to be exactly what I was searching for. JHP provides students with a Jewish community on campus, where members meet once a week to discuss Jewish content, converse with each other, and of course- eat bagels! From events such as PB&J to Shabbat for 2000, I loved JHPs mission and community.

I knew I wanted to get more involved, and that this club was going to be a very important part of my penn experience. I am excited to be a part of the JHP board and cannot wait to see what lies ahead.”
