Our Mission & Inspiration

OUR MISSION

To engage with and energize individuals not normally involved in Jewish communal activities, through peer-to-peer programming. JHP inspires college students to participate in activities that celebrate Jewish pride and tradition — and helps each individual understand their own ability to have an impact in making the world a better place.

Our 4 Pillars

Everything JHP does rests on four pillars that shape how students connect, grow, and lead.

Social Engagement

Members lead by example and outreach, inspiring peers to bring Judaism into everyday life.

Mentoring

Mentors share personal stories and wisdom from one generation to the next.

Community Service

Students give back through acts of kindness, tzedakah, and mitzvahs.

Judaic Enrichment

Shared religious and cultural experiences that build real community.

OUR INSPIRATION

“Each individual has the capacity to build communities and endow communities with life. So that every community member becomes a source of inspiration.”

— The Lubavitcher Rebbe

Part of Chabad on Campus

JHP is part of Chabad on Campus, one of the fastest-growing Jewish organizations in the world, with full campus centers across America and around the globe. The local Rabbis and Rebbetzins on each campus serve as educational resources for JHP student interns.

Through Chabad, JHP students access Birthright Israel trips, Sinai Scholars, and a wide range of learning opportunities about Jewish ideas and Israel.
