Partying with JHP

February 25, 2013 by JHP

On my walk over to 18th and Market on February 23rd, at least four different people wished me a happy birthday. Not surprisingly, they were confused by my sequined tiara. The typical birthday headpiece seemed out of place to most Philadelphians, but once I arrived at Marathon, my Princess Esther costume became much more obvious. YPN’s annual Purim Party was an absolute hit! With Purim-themed drinks, hamantashen, and a live band (featuring Menachem on lead guitar), how could it not be? We had over 200 people joining in on our celebration! After we listened to the Megillah in the hallway, I caught up with old friends – introducing some to their first JHP event – and met some new people of my own. I’m already looking forward to next year’s YPN Purim Party!
