JHP@Penn Kicks-Off with Hookah Hang

September 25, 2012 by JHP

This past Sunday JHP@Penn welcomed back students with our kick-off event, Hookah Hang. Intern Elliot Comite, Penn class of 2015, helped plan the event so interns and their friends could enjoy snacks, lounge around on blankets, smoke hookah, and catch up with friends in the backyard of the JHP office. Interns were encouraged to bring anyone who may be interested in applying for a future JHP internship and we even had a competition to see which intern could bring the most friends! We had almost forty students in attendance (plus two rabbis and a rebbitzen) and the weather was beautiful, sunny, and warm. Hookah Hang was a great opportunity for the students to get to know each other and for the new JHP@Penn Fellow to get to know the students. Thanks to our interns’ dedication – and their motivation to win our friendly competition – Hookah Hang was a brilliant success!
