At Temple University, JHP is a professional networking club, run together with Chabad at Temple. Its signature program is a series of mentoring panels with the Jewish Business Network (JBN) — evenings where Jewish professionals sit down with students and talk candidly about their careers.
Networking Nights with the JBN
Several times a semester, JHP Temple hosts a networking panel with JBN mentors. The rooms are deliberately mixed — recent panels have brought together mentors from real estate, medicine, dentistry, tech, journalism, construction, franchising, and wealth management. They run as round-table discussions rather than lectures, so students ask their own questions and hear advice that reaches well beyond their own major. As Rebecca, a resident at Jefferson Hospital, told one group: “Do the things you love & your story writes itself.”
Coffee, Challah, and Campus Life
Between panels, the chapter keeps things casual: mid-day coffee and conversation at the business school’s coffee shop, challah bakes at the start of each semester, and a table at TempleFest, the university’s club fair, where the Chabad/JHP table drew more than 80 sign-ups in a single afternoon. Temple students also serve on the JHP National Board, helping shape the program across all of its campuses.
