The Jacobson Family Community Service Center, a volunteer initiative launched in Spring 2019, connects Jewish values to JHP social action projects and is the mainstay of JHP’s 4th pillar. We believe that one of the greatest things in life is to fulfill mitzvahs and to give tzedakah. JHP programming includes opportunities for students to perform acts of kindness and generosity. Our students have volunteered for a variety of worthwhile projects, including collaboration with Philly Friendship Circle to pack food for the Jewish Relief Agency, made cards for Israeli soldiers, held a dance fundraiser for Sunrise Day Camp, and, of course, made all those pb&j sandwiches for local shelters.
