Ronald O. Perelman Center for Jewish Life at Lubavitch House Dedication

June 24, 2016 by JHP

On June 16th, JHP and Lubavitch House staff, students, alumni, and supporters celebrated the dedication of the new Ronald O. Perelman Center for Jewish Life at Penn.
Ambassador Jon Huntsman Jr. gave a keynote speech to guests, and a message was read by Rabbi Avraham Shemtov from Ronald O. Perelman.  Students, alumni, and the university Chaplain Chaz Howard also spoke about the importance of the center.
Of the new Center, University President Amy Gutman, sent her remarks: "In these impressive new surroundings, the Perelman Center for Jewish Life, Lubavitch House at Penn is now equipped to make an even fuller contribution to the wonderful richness and diversity of religious community at Penn...Lubavitch House at Penn is recognized across the world as a pioneering leader in Chabad on Campus. I especially salute the work done by the Healthy Living Task Force, which models a peer helper network for Penn students to cope with issues that can arise through stress, depression and relationship challenges...Their knowledge and assistance epitomizes the mission of Lubavitch House and the important role it seeks to play in the life of our community."
