This year's JHP Philadelphia Mentoring Retreat truly demonstrated the power of the JHP network. On March 27th, JHP @ Penn and JHP @ Temple interns spent the day networking with JHP on Campus alumni, JHP young professionals and members of JHP's Jewish Business Network.
The day began with a luncheon at Ballard Spahr, which allowed JHP interns to network with mentors in a wide range of fields, including marketing, finance, healthcare, politics, real estate, law and more. Ben Relles, Head of Comedy for YouTube, addressed the group with advice for pursuing personal passions and the value of networking and mentoring.
Following the luncheon, the group visited the Philadelphia Inquirer and Independence Blue Cross to learn about career opportunities in Philadelphia. After a day of fantastic networking and mentoring, the JHP interns gathered together with Rabbi Menachem Schmidt for a Shabbat dinner in Rittenhouse Square. Many interns said this was the highlight of their day and are looking forward to attending and hosting future Shabbat dinners.
