JHP’s Long Term Impact Trends

October 10, 2013 by JHP

How many friends from college are you still in touch with?

Fall 2012 JHP survey found that JHP alumni are still in tough with their friends from JHP.

Today, years after graduation, the friendships formed in JHP are still alive.

At the beginning of the year, 72% of JHP interns attended 0-3 Jewish events per semester.

After becoming involved with JHP, 79% of JHP interns attended 4 or more Jewish events per semester.

Jewish Identity

Post-college, 74% of alumni surveyed felt that JHP had a strong or very strong effect on their Jewish identity.

An additional 74% of alumni felt that JHP had a strong or very strong effect on their Jewish affiliation.

Regardless of any opinions held before involvement in JHP, 48% of alumni felt that JHP had a strong or very strong effect on their perspective on Israel.

Jewish Involvement

Before and After JHP

Of our current JHP interns, 24% report being involved with Jewish organizations on campus other than JHP, while nearly twice as many (44%) alumni reported involvement in Jewish organizations other than JHP post- college.
