Jewish Business Network Hosts $1 Billion Company at August 15th Power Lunch

Philadelphia, PA, August 6, 2018 -- The Jewish Business Network of Jewish Heritage Programs will be hosting Mark Baiada to speak at its monthly networking Power Lunch on Wednesday, August 15th. The lunch will take place at Temple University Center City, beginning at 11:45 a.m. Mr. Baiada will speak at 12:30 p.m.

A program of Jewish Heritage Programs, the Jewish Business Network is an organization of like-minded professionals in the Philadelphia area, looking to expand their networks and engage in mentorship opportunities. Each month, the Jewish Business Network hosts a Power Lunch to build relationships and to present business advice from leaders in the area. Past lunches have featured Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, PHL Airport CEO Chellie Cameron, Children’s Hospital CEO Madeline Bell, and Freedom Mortgage CEO Stanley Middleman.

Since founding BAYADA Home Health Care in 1975, Mr. Baiada has guided his company to employ 23,000 people in 22 states (including approximately 8,000 in Philadelphia) and 5 countries, serving over 150,000 patients in home nursing, rehabilitation, therapy, and hospice.

The topic of Mr. Baiada’s speech at August’s Power Lunch is, “Why is he turning his billion dollar company into a nonprofit?” As quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer in June 2018, Mr. Baiada provided, “Nonprofits last longer, and I don’t really need the money, so we’re going to turn it over to a newly created nonprofit that’s all mission driven.”

The Power Lunch is open to the public. Attendees can register in advance through Eventbrite or register at the door. For more information, please visit www.jhp.org or find us on Facebook, @JBNphilly.
