On Wednsday, December 18, Drexel University President John A. Fry discussed several topics, including the university's ambitious plan for developing the area around 30th Street Station in Philadelphia.
JHP's Jewish Business Network hosts a luncheon every month in Center City Philadelphia. This month's JBN took place at Temple University's Center City campus. About fifty-five business-people attended for networking, lunch, and the opportunity to hear Mr. Fry's vision for 30th Street Station.
After a glowing introduction of JHP, President Fry spoke of better land use near the train station - replacing the parking lots near 30th Street Station with residential, retail, and research developments and building in the air space over the train tracks. He envisions a future where the 30th Street Station corridor is a center for business innovation for both Philadelphia and the entire North-Eastern seaboard.
