In 1993, JHP created a peer-run, peer-oriented program that helps students create a social network in which they can discover their Jewish identity, build leadership skills, and enjoy the basic connectedness of being in a group with people who share a cultural background. JHP on Campus is facilitated by student interns, with guidance and structure from alumni. The interns host regular events in a comfortable, casual and non-judgmental environment. These events include casual Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, community service and more. The program also helps students prepare for life after college by offering them access to a professional mentoring program made up of over 800 professionals in the New York City and Philadelphia areas.
